iCatalysts leads collaborative research projects that help illuminate and catalyze ideas and initiatives to apply innovation and advanced technology to improve our future.
Our researchers support foundations and government agencies to study and develop stakeholder-based solutions to energy and climate challenges.
For example, we are supporting a business community participative study on the case for climate preparedness for the San Diego Foundation, one of the largest community foundations in the United States. This six month study will delve into future flooding, water and health impacts and the consequences of inaction and action. For example, the study will detail the positive impacts of more investment in clean technology and the risks of inaction.
Our researchers are also leading policy and stakeholder work on the Port of Oakland’s Energy Innovation study. This study is helping the Port understand what clean energy and energy efficiency investments and procurement decisions are needed to meet its climate and sustainability goals over the next 15 years.
